We just love to see those encouraging Bible verses wrapped in a an attractive graphic, and scroll and like them on Facebook and DONE ! We’ve completed our worship and Bible study for the day .
We even pass it in and somebody else passes it on and lo and behold we’ve become refrigerator magnet Christians.
You know those great magnets that you put in your fridge door of some life verse or some “word “ that looks pretty on the door . Anything wrong with that ? Nope, as long as you are opening God’s word and spending real time WITH Him , not at all. But if you just look at the magnets and never open that fridge door , you’re going to be hungry and thirsty.
Hey, there is meat in there and vegetables and Milk and fresh water and things you can combine and make a feast of🤩 Same thing with the Bible. It’s a feast already roasted and prepared for you to eat and be filled and always have an overflow to share with others.
We really just want to like or heart and repost and never really read anything over a second or two of glances.
There’s a lot of good, meaty blogs about God with great scriptures to extrapolate and put in your feed- my dears- just make sure you’re well fed by real time with God and not just living on magnets.
Ephesians 3:14-19
For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
